Bodywork Company offer a BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Performing Arts. The BTEC is run through the Foundation course (2 days a week) and comprises of 6 units which include jazz, musical theatre and group performance. Units are assessed through performance work, class working and controlled assessments. This course is run via a partnership with the College of West Anglia.
BTEC students attend the same classes as other Foundation students, but you will be assessed against BTEC criteria for certain performances and written assignments throughout the year. The qualification is the equivalent of 3 AS Levels (1.5 A levels) and awards UCAS points on completion, giving students access to progression routes that might include University/Higher Education.
Students wishing to apply for this course should have a minimum of 4 GCSE’s, grades A-C (Maths and English are highly desirable). As with other courses, students will be expected to audition and places will be subject to an offer from the school.
Should you successfully audition for BTEC, you are likely to be eligible for approximately 16 hours of funding towards your existing Foundation tuition fees. Further details are available on application.
